Reception[]

When the series debuted, the first episodes were met with mixed reviews. Most of the praise went to the fight sequences that flowed together with the music accompanying it. The opening scenes however put in too much detail in displaying the supporting casts and the 'darker' elements felt out of place.[5] Yet, after a few episodes the development of the subplots including the supporting characters interactions with Inspector Genet develop the characters beyond the fast paced roles.[6] By the time episode 6 premiered, the slow pacing of plot was replaced with a world-upending episode that dealt with genuine loss and the next episode going into the fallout of Panther Claw's attack on St. Chapel Academy while still dealing with inconsistent drama and comedy.[7][8] By the end the series, it was voted one of the Worst Anime of 2018 so Far on WatchMojo at #3.[9]
